The canyon seems better spec'ed with sram eagle and better wheels (I think) also a bit cheaper. Weight around the same... canyon has more travel up front but honestly, I've just moved to Poland... I've no idea if I need it or not. Should I just pick the colour I like best?? 🙂

Do you have a local bike shop? And do they stock Whyte?
My biggest problem (and others I know) with Canyon is the service isn't great. My mate broke his, and Canyon took forever to sort it out - accusing him of riding it too hard, so they wouldn't warranty it.
Everyone I know that's ridden the Spectral really likes it, and everyone I know that's ridden a T130 loves it.
Picking up my T-130 C RS next week. Deliberated for ages about the Whyte or a similarly speced Cube (see my post on the topic if you're bored). Didn't actually see the Whyte until after I'd ordered it and it arrived in the shop and I was blown away by the quality (admittedly on first impressions) of the Whyte compared with the cube. Only ever seen one Canyon and it looked nice from what I remember but personally could never take the risk on mail order with something so expensive. The pictures of the Whyte really don't do it justice. Get a ride on one if you can. The Canyon in your link is ally too, the Carbon Whyte is a far better proposition surely?
Yeah carbon keeps drawing me back in... however same weight really... and I'm figuring the alloy might be a bit more forgiving of my lack of skill 🙂
I notice your link for the Whyte was for the 2016 model, which appears to be the same price as the 2017 model and has a similar component spec to the Canyon - X01 Eagle, etc.
