This place has never failed me yet, the people here really are a fountain of knowledge (enough blowing wind up yours @rses)
I have a Scott Speedster S4 from 2005, this one
The headset is an integrated type. For the life of me cannot find out what type of bearings it needs for its integrated headset. I have googled for hours, been into two bike shops and no one can help me out. the headset is proper knackered and is pretty much unrideable until i get some new races.
Can anyone please tell me what i need, and even better for utter 'you da man' points a link to buy them!
Please STW don't let me down!
your hopeful
Dave
No idea.
45/45 internal?
Two things.
Take the old bearing out and it should be stamped on them what they are so just type the code into google and they should pop up.
If no stamp, measure internal bore, measure angle on the baering seat, then type into google and they will pop up.
You could also ring scott.
ring scott - genius idea!
A BMX headset should fit.
Dirtynap,
Unfortunately i have tried replacing it already and have thrown the original out so that is not an option
Dannyleigh - which bmx headset?
cynic-al - thanks!
If it has what look like headset cups built into the frame, it's probably a 45° / 45° headset. So most of these should fit.
