Seeings as i cant ride today, i'm doing messing round with my bikes...

I know that in theory to get the free hub off this hub, you just need to pull it and twist, but its too stiff for me to get off. I,ve tried putting the cassette back on to get extra leverage, and still nothing.

This is with me bracing the wheel with my legs, and pulling as hard as possible. Any tips?

Cheers

the one thing you can try is to give the axles a smack with a rubber hammer or similar, it will loosen the end caps, and the freehub will pull straight off

I just got it off! I ended up going back to my old faithful Fine Adjustment Tool. Eg a hammer and a screwdriver on the back of the casette and a couple of sharp taps... Now all i have to do is get the axle out and put a new one in...

the axles should be easy now, just give it a tap with the hammer

sorted... works like a treat just with a 10mm bolt up axle instead of a 10mm through axle...
