I am trying to convert my Bulb rear hub to 12mm and was wondering if anyone could talk me through it please. I have got the freehub off, but can't get the axle out. Can anyone shed some light on that for me please, and also how to put it back together would be brilliant thanks!

Ben

To remove the axle, support the hub flange on two solid blocks(hard wood, open vice jaws etc.)with enough space below for the axle to drop out, and then very carefully tw*t the axle with a hammer until it drops through (you may want to protect the axle with a block of wood but I find it usually absorbs too much of the force.) Hope make specific press tools for refitting the bearings, but most people manage using a suitably sized socket to drift them in. When refitting your cleaned and greased freehub assembly, slide the hub/freehub seal over the pawls to hold them in place when you slide the assembly into the hub.
