I've fitted square taper before, but instructions on bolts don't seem clear.

Am I right in thinking one cranks on the bb I put in the bolt and tighten, washer goes on top and dust cap on last?

That's what the 'instructions' suggest. However it also says 'the crank bolts must be fitted with washers or crank may be perminantly damaged'. Or should I have another set of washers?

The washer they mention is to stop the head of the bolt chewing up the crank when you tighten it. You may find it's a captive fitting on the bolt anyway.

Nope there's definately only one washer! ...and I thought I had it sorted. So where does the washer go!?..and should I have more washers?

Matt, I have the mb's self extracters on the paradox. The copper coloured washer is to aid the crank bolt turn when extracting.
You also need to make sure to use the correct thread lockers on both the crank bolt, the exteacter crank end plug, and grease the washer

So the washer goes on top of the bolt under the cap plug

I will have to ring M/burn on Monday! I've had so much conflicting advice on where the washer goes; it's about 50:50 at the moment. If only M/burns info was clearer.
