I always have problems with the ferrules and tend to buy alternative ones from decathlon.

try harder, they will go, they are meant to be tight though. Any in my experience the lever and brake calipe don't accept ferrules.

Certain models of Campagnolo housings do not require ferrules... check the instructions in the packet.

I have also this problem, yes they are meant to be very tight, i use a air dryer on the cable to warm the plastic, normally works a treat.
If you actually get the ferrule on the beginning of the cable, just give the ferrule a tap with a mallet.....
