As above would appreciate any comments. I've currently thought of soaking the entire Seat tube and leaving it for a few days.

does the same not apply as the folks using caustic soda and coke

Turn Frame upside down, fill seat tube with plusgas through the BB, and leave for a couple of days.
Clamp offending post in vice, workmate or similar, use the frame for leverage.
When that fails try the same trick but with caustic soda... and PPE.

been there, with a carbon post - in the end I just cut it out.
