i have been on here a couple of time in the last few days with problems with my hayes mags. the rear caliper striped down ok but the pistons look fairly warn. Striped the fron caliper todat and one of the pistons in the front caliper is so stuck in position that i can't even push in back in let alone get it out.

is it worth persevering with them or should i just get some stroker trail v8's (£130 f&b from wollyhatshop). I have worked out as i dn't have a belled kit it will be around £65 of parts to get the mags working and that is if i can ever get this stuck piston out.

If you're around the Cardiff area i'll have a look at them if you want, get asked to service them fairly often so have tools etc., can give you an idea if they're worth salvaging or not.

I have had the same problem with Hayes, eventually my local bike shop replaced them with Shimanos, and I have not had a problem since. You can get replacement pistons but it would require a bleed kit as well.
Edited for grammar
