In the last couple of years I have had the same problem. Less, funnily enough, on the road bike but still uncomfortable. It comes and goes. I ditched gloves which seems to help a bit as the pads all put pressure in the wrong place.

Hard to tell, but the grips look a bit level - I find that the extended lobe bit should angle back down towards the pedals more if that makes sense?
Can you raise the bars/stem to have less weight on your hands?

Has the problem got worse with the Ergon grips?

Personally I can not ride with padded gloves, puts pressure on the nerve, I use medium diameter grips.

EDIT to the post above.

Sounds like Ulnar nerve pressure to me. Have you tried rotating the grips?

Sit on your bike and loosely put your hands on the grips, take your time, feel where there are hollows or pressure points between your hand and the grip. Rotate to get a better position.

^^^^^ This
I have the same grips and expected comfy hands straight away. Not so, it took a fair bit of experimentation with the grips and the ends to get the right positions.
Take an Allen key when you ride.

I had similar after breaking my wrists once too often. I found grips like that helped a lot but I had to have each grip at a different angle as I have dislocated my shoulders a different number of times and the arms aren't symetrical.

I found fitting the grips but use something like hairspray so you can slip them on and rotate them a bit before they set in position. Fit them and then ride about a bit twisting them backwards and forwards until they feel okay.

Don't get put off by people saying they are at the wrong angle. You are riding and you need to be comfortable.

Have you any bend in your wrists whilst riding? If so, get rid of it.

How wide are your bars? I wonder if your nerves are not sliding as well as they should do due to a bike set up issue and that might be what's causing your pain.

Post a pic of you on your bike OP, in normal riding position from the side.

Classic case of too much weight on your hands. Try shifting your saddle forward a bit, or rotating your. Are to. Ring your hands back a bit.
