Going to look at one today, think it's a '23 model with Yamaha motor. Looks like it's the basic spec one which I'm not too bothered about.ย

Anyone got one or one in that range?ย

Anything in particular to look out for?ย

Cheersย

Not that model but my mate has had a couple of Haibike's for years and has been happy with them. Second one was a replacement for the first which he gave to his wife.ย

No experience of that bike but all the usual used full suspension bike checks should apply:

-Check all the welds

-Check the pivots bolts and shock bushings for play

-Check the headset for play

-Check the forks for bushing play or damaged stanchions

-Check the shifting and brakes

-Check the dropper post for play

-Check the wheels spin freely and the spokes are properly tensioned

-Ride the bike and compress the suspension and listen for any creaks or weird noises

-See if you can view a battery health report (assuming it connects to an app?)

Whilst a lot of the above may be an easy fix (brakes, shifting, spoke tension etc), if there's anything not quite right it may be an indication the bike hasn't been well looked after.

How much is the seller asking for it?

Not sure how it'll ride with the rear wheel somewhere in a different postcode and the reach will likely be pretty short, but depends what you're going to use it for. They seem to have shortened the chainstay/moved the BB back a bit on the newer models.

Oh and it's a Haibike, it'll be heavy. Very heavy

So, I'm thinking about upgrading the fork. As far as I can tell it's a 140mm fork & 150mm travel rear shock?

Looking around there seem to be quite a few second hand 160mm air forks RS/Fox, would adding another 20mm alter geo to much? I did think it strange that the forks are 140mm & frame 150mm as standard.

I cant remember how much new airspings are but if It was necessary to get a 150mm I would.

And lifting the bike around in the shed, it's bloody heavy!!!!
