Not impressed with my GXP BB. Creaking and groaning after a few hundred miles on the road. Considering bunging in a HT2 BB as some people seem to like this idea. Got a top hat spacer for the LHS. Any issues with spacers etc that I need to consider.
Also what's the difference between Shimano BB's? I assume that MTB ones have better seals than road ones but within each type what real differences are there?

Hope with the proper adapter for longevity and silence.

Not what I was planning on. The adaptor I have is the same thing as a Hope.

Is it for a road bike?

The reason for suggesting hope was to avoid the same issue just with a shimano part.

Make sure you file a slot in the top hat so you can remove it easily.

Re greased completely. Everything done, several times etc. Too much money invested in cranks to leave but there are suggestions that Shimano spec might be more reliable.
Not my experience but it is a cheap fix. Hope not an option at the moment. Cost

Shimano are miles better than gxp ime, even Deore is better but... pish as they are you ought to have got more miles from a new gxp on the road.

Token do a GXP compatible I think?
