Hello, I have a new bike with the new GX Eagle 1x12 and I have disassemble the bolt screw because I like to grease everything after several races. So far so good.

I went to assemble it again and assembly it as I came:

When I have tightened to the maximum torque indicated, there is a small slack in the rear derailleur, is it normal?ย Add that I can not squeeze more, the next thing would be to break something.

I have seen another SRAM image in which the mounting of that bolt comes like this:

I have it assembled as in the first image. What would be the correct way?

Thanks.

ive just got a gx eagle mech and its got shift loads of play by hand with out the wheel in and you can hear it creaking - it doesn't translate in reality mind it hasn't hindered shifting, nor any noise

but theres no way my x01 eagle from before had the same amount of play

Perfect!. Then, is normal in the GX, not?.

And, how have assembly the bolt of theย rear derailleur. Like the first image or the second image?.

Thanks.

There is definitely slack there on the GX Eagle mechs that I have had.

Perfect, I'm calmer then.

How many nanometers of torque do you put on it? 5 Nm?

Thanks.

The top pic doesn't look like the GX eagle rear mech, so I'd go with the bottom order.

Yup, mine came with slop that's got steadily worse over time. After 500 miles it's enough to mean the mech slightly bends inwards as a result. Shifting still seems fine but it's a common problem according to my shop. Will probably try a warranty claim if it gets any worse.

If it gets worse, I'll do the same...
