I like it too, but it seems the tube that hugs the front wheel is a bit superfluous. And why does it need cranks, surely pegs welded to the frame would be sufficient?

theres only one chainstay so at least one side needs a crank. can you even call it a crank when theres nothing to crank tho?

It wants deep section rims of some kind I reckon, and maybe some fairings 🙂

NICHE!

Front brake position looks odd to me, though.

I like it, but surely the brakes are going to rip out at some point? The mounts are the only thing bearing the force, not the frame/forkette. That's why trials bikes don't have discs at the back (I think...)

Ahh, takes me back to my luge and speedboarding days ... loads of gravity bike stuff on the net, some of which is pretty mental 😀

Looks like the perfect bike to take to the top of Bealach na Ba and do a quick run down to Applecross.

Shall we start the race series this year, or next?

Capt flash, The front brake position is quite clever as the brake loads the tyre onto the conact patch for better grip under braking.
The rear brake is also designed to deliver the full braking force onto the contact patch if I'm estimating the force distribution correctly.

fourbanger; Beat me to it.

Was wondering where else the breaking force could act on the tyre?

Engineering fail by skyline?

Then again IIRC Commencal had somethign similar to supposedly influence "brake jack" on a single pivot by moving the calliper round the axel with different adapters, no brakeing arm or linkage, just like a IS-Post mount addapter in different shapes, but all for the same disk to frame size. By their logic a Pike should levitate under braking as the addapters always seem to put the calliper in a silly position.
