I see in pinkbike Gord is stopping bike stuff. Real shame. I have some really old jackets still in everyday use. I guess extra long life is no business model

My thoughts too. I have some Gore kit I bought 13-14 years ago that's still in occasional use.

It'll be the cycling AND running lines that are being stopped.

Yeah, a shame, really well made kit and worth the premium IMO.

That is a shame. One of the few more premium bike clothing brands I'm prepared to spend money on

No the whole gorewear brand is being closed down from march 2026.

It's a shame, I really like the gorewear stuff

The standout from Gore was the Shakedry, fantastic. I bought 'some' for stock before they stopped making them. I also have a couple of Phantoms that were the dogs knees/bees danglies before the Gabba came along. I've always been a bit disappointed in their shorts tho. They tend to fall to bits on my arse where other brands last a bit longer.

Still sad to see a top notch brand exiting stage left.

Bugger. My best biking jackets have always come from Gorewear - one of the few that generally fit across my broad shoulders without being flappy around the body. Time to place an order I think.

Shame to see them go(ing).

I was hoping to get another year out of my current ancient Gore jacket but I can see the credit card will have to come out. Which is the current Mtb Gore jacket most people find useful?

I've just ordered a Lupra 2.0. I tend to run hot so looking for something lighter, reviews suggest this'll be OK. Selected colours are reduced, don't forget to sign up for extra 20% off. Took it down to £135ish for me.

It was kind of a weird anomaly of a brand, in that it was an apparel one, solely owned by a component - ie:  fabric - manufacturer. I wonder if the longer term effect is that more cycling brands will use Gore fabrics once they're no longer 'competing' with Gore itself. Right now it's mostly 7Mesh and Rapha, I think.

I really like their gloves. Best stock up I guess.

Sad news indeed.  It was GoreBikeWear that enabled me to ride in Winter, great quality products that always worked by keeping me dry and warm.

Remember, theres also a 40% off code in the singletrack members area - I think it only applies to stuff at RRP.

Bought a phantom in 2009, my first soft shell and, for me it was a real game changer. Sad to see them go

After reading this I decided now was the time to buy the new waterproof. I looked on the website and the Lupra jacket is in the Black Friday sale but more than it was a week ago! This may explain their demise

Wow, I didn't realise how much of a Gore-Whore I am until reading this and remembering how much of their kit I've owned down the years. My old grey Phantom jersey was the first "proper" MTB garment I ever bought. Just consistent, functional and durable stuff.

And man, those colours.
