sika trail in wareham forest - its an fc family type trail on fireroads etc from an fc car pk heading from wareham to bere regis somewhere nr SY 905853 ...
Sika Trail is the obvious route for a trail marked one.
The Rodwell Trail from Weymouth to Portland is very nice but possibly a bit short.
Some other cycle routes totally flat with zero narrr around Purbecks.
oooh, thanks - will have a look at that/them
Head from Martinstown to the top of the Ridgway, then across to hardys monument, then roll down the hill back to martinstown...
Nice little jaunt, but has a hill in it...
DrP
in case anyone's interested/going to that area (Poole/Wareham/Swanage), we did the Rempstone Ride
Heathland, meadows, few quiet roads, beach, ice-cream
12miles, very few hills, great scenery - great day out with the kids
Wareham forest, done it with mine a few years back, pretty level, easy green/blue route with a pub on the route.
Could start in wimborne at the willets arms pub. A there and back Ride into poole along the trailway. Gives you a good child friendly jaunt towards poole taking in a tour around poole harbour, quick stop at poole quay. For a shorter ride start at upton country park. All flat and child friendly.
If you go into Wareham forest fine.Dont try and take your kids into the Silent Woman pub.Kids are banned plus its over priced i think.
