Has been previously built with 700cx35's as well and was ace, so thought I'd go back to 26 with some low tread tyres and guards for some winter exploring.

Amedias, that looks reet to me.
I have a similar contraption ... A 26" frame with drop bars and cross wheels.
I was thinking of going down a 26" monster cross route and your pics may very well have convinced me 🙂

guards should be fine with those tyres, there's more clearance than it looks like in the pics and I won't be off in the proper slop with this one, more likely wet but rocky stoney paths, can always pop something smaller on if needs be.
