I've gone and damaged a part on a set uf suspension forks- old set of Manitou Travis- which are superb and work great. However I have contacted Hotlines the importer and they say no spares are available as the fork is too old.
Now, I can measure up the part (its a hollow bolt that threads into the damper rod and into the work leg) and get all the thread specs ok myself- but getting it made to this might prove a problem. Have you ever been down this road?
Cheers in advance!!
I suggest you take the failed part to a local machine shop and ask them to make a copy. Expect to pay a lot.
If it's just a bored-out standard fastener, then any machine shop could do it.
Otherwise, try Dougal at http://www.shockcraft.co.nz/ he's been fettling Manitous for years, and has a stockpile of stuff from older generation forks.
