[Closed] Gear Inches - too many inches, too few gears

In a moment of weakness (and leaving aside the slight lack of a frame, but that's a minor point) I seem to have brought together most of the basic components of a 29" one-geared beastie. I do not, however, have the gearing, so:

Does the big wheel thing make any significant difference to ratio choices or should I just slap on 32:16 and take it from there? this is bearing in mind I'm fat and fairly lazy and building up a long ride, chilled out, stop at a pub type bike, not some racy weirdness.

swap the 16 for an 18 and you'll have the same ratio.

Go 32 18.

I have found that the easier running of the 29er means I can run the same ratio as my 26".

32/18 is a pretty useful setup
