hi,
ive just got sent a Garmin 1030 from a friend who works for garmin in the states. The unit does not have the europe maps on it so i need to get that sorted. My trusty 800 has the maps on the SD card but i see you can download the new map from garmin. can anyone tell me what the best option for this would be, download or to buy the Sd card

The 1030 has a sd card reader so you can just use the one out of the 800. I think the europe maps are also available to download for free from the Garmin website. Also openmtbmaps has more detailed maps.
