[Closed] front wheel bearings - where in the range do you buy?

Often wondered. 68042rs cartridges - You can pay 10 quid for 10, or 10quid each. Where in that range do you buy, have you tried different levels and noticed any real difference (performance/longevity) ? Got a source you really recommend? My old stockpile has been depleted and it time to stock up

Cheers in advance all.

Unk.

These days I tend to get Kaesae's kit (Katec), it's decent quality and well priced. Failing that I just shop around the named brands.

I've got the really cheap ebay ones in the past, some were dead on arrival, some the casings were so cheaply made that they broke up on fitting. Weirdly some of them did last a very long time despite being officially the same as the ones that were useless.

Most of the better brands seem to last ok skf Ina etc
Personaly I'd avoid the real cheap tat. Good stainless ones for me but
My winter bike has speed hub and sp front so bearing issues latly

Price is no real indicator of quality. Get decent spec ones from trusted brands, FAG, SKF, Timken. Choose stainless with highest sphericity

Stainless and repack. Normally katec or hope. It's corrosion that kills them rather than wear hence stainless and a good fill of decent grease is what extends their life the most.
