It doesn't seem to lose any air pressure, it does squelch.
I'd be gratefull if someone can tell me why?

Does it get louder as you increase the rebound damping?

Is the squelching sound a bit like an asthmatic Darth Vader sucking a thick milkshake through a straw to the backing sound track of 'The Elephant Man' reciting the works of Shakespeare?

Shocks often make this kind of noise as they circulate the damping oil through their circuits.

Have you done a seal change recently? Last time I did mine I think I put a bit too much fluid back in it, and it was quite squelchy for a while, but now it's ok. Sure I seen a post by someone saying it could be a seal thats come out of place, or something like that. Not being an expert however I can't be sure.

Either the damping oil breaking down and emulsifying in which case its a full service job.Or its just float fluid passing through the knick in the aircan which balances the positive/negative chambers in which case you can just do a can service.

Are you getting full travel, or is it ramping up and stopping about 2/3rds of the way? If so then you've probably got a nitrogen leak and the shock needs a professional to sort it out.
