My X Fusion Trace fork is on its way out so I need a new fork. I have been offered either a Revelation Motion Control Debonair 35mm or a Fox Performance Grip 34mm at virtually the same price but I have no experience of either. Is there any realistic difference or is it just eeny meeny?
Option B.
Grip damper is infinitely, infinitely better than the Motion Control - that fell out of favour years ago and is really quite outdated.Â
Rockshox forks with some of the later Charger dampers make this a much more difficult choice, but with the two specs you've listed I'd take the Fox fork all day every day.Â
The Grip/Sweep style damper is massively better (and in some cases preferable to the Grip 2 as well).Â
A STW consensus.
The Fox Grip is well regarded, the Motion Control really is quite pants.
Fox all day
Agree with the above, Fox all day long. Motion Control was poor 5 years ago.
Definitely Fox, the performance is better than even the lower end charger dampers and miles better than motion control
Charger damper I'd go RS, but fox performance level against old moco, fox every day of the week. Infact any fox level over moco, Rhythm is still a bloody good fork.
Rev Mc On the hardtail and Fox 34 on the full suss. Fox 34 every time. The revs will either be upgraded to charger damper or swapped out for a pike. The fox damper as mentioned above is much better
I was gonna defend the MoCo damper in my Yaris, but then I remembered Id swapped it out for an Novyparts Splug
Might be worth consideringÂ
