My wife's 2008 Specialized Safire came with a Fox Float Triad shock that has recently given up the ghost, spilling its oil all over the frame and making a dreadful racket. LBS took a quick look and said that the repairs would include a nitrogen service from a specialist. I haven't got a quote yet, but I guess that I won't get much change out of ?90?
Meanwhile, I've found someone selling an unused 2011 Float RP2 for only a little more. Seems to be a no-brainer to get the RP2.
So has anyone got experiences of a RP2 on a Safire (Stumpjumper)? I know nothing about rear shocks, is it a good substitute?
