Hi guys,
Sorry if this is a stupid question but think the master cylinder piston in my ORO K18s needs replacing perhaps. Front brake got quite spongy then suddenly starting pulling all the way to the bars and pretty weak stopping power. I bled them and they worked great for about 200yds then same again. Thought it was my crappy mechanic skills but did it again and they were sharp again for a couple hundred yards. when you pull the lever I think i can hear air past the piston stop (black rubber bit) but not sure. Is there a simple way to tell if it's the master cylinder piston or perhaps a seal somewhere else?
Thanks in advance
Chris
Did you put the tiny o-ring back under the bleed port screw when you bled them? If so crc had seal kits in stock last time I looked,
bubble in the hose casing?
Khani: yes checked those but the caliper bleed port was a bit fiddly so that might need checking. Could a slightly out of place seal really cause that much lever pull?
thanks
Graham: How would i get rid of a hose casing bubble?
thanks
unfortunately that would be replace the hose.
You should be able to see if that has happened, the casing on the hose will bubble out.
