Well half way round the first lap of SITS (solo) I noticed my Recon 351's were not up to their usual soft spongeeness. After the first lap I added in some air to see if that was the problem and the forks seemed to respond....only until I'd started my 2nd lap and comming down the first muddy/gloopy descent.

Any way upshot is that I don't think there is any air leak going on but riding along it just feels the fork is bottoming out all the time.

Any ideas what the problem might be and whether fixable?

Had the forks (and bike) since Sept/Oct last year ridden regularly but looked after and not abused (well not intentionally anyway).

I ended up doing the rest of SITS on my Red On-One Singlespeed which was no way planned but massive thank you to all who cheered me on or chatted with me on the course.
