Hi All,

I currently have a Rock Shox Tora 289 on my bike but am looking to upgrade for better performance and to make the bike a tad lighter. I've been looking at the Recon Gold and Reba forks but am not discounting any others. Do people have any recommendations? Has anyone made a similar upgrade? I'm finding it very hard to decide. Most of my riding is on the Quantocks.

Cheers

DJ

Genesis Core 50. It has Core 20 parts but got a new frame through warranty. Current travel is 120mm.

Budget? Can't go wrong with Rebas.

Reba's with a 20mm bolt thru, would be my preference, but would probably mean a new wheel to you. Either way a set of Reba's QR or 20mm is my recommendation.

Merlin cycles are keen on prices for Rebas, most in QR or 15mm.

I got RS Revelation forks from them a year or so ago with 15mm bolt through and they have been great.

Can't go wrong with Marzocchi - their new forks have a 3 year warranty.

Thanks for all your points.

No specific budget really. Around £400 but am willing to go higher if it's worth it. I've heard Marzocchi are producing some decent forks. Anyone know the main advantage of Reba over Recon Gold?

Main differences are weight Recons are 300ish grams more than Rebas. Rebas are dual air over Recons Solo air

This will tell you what all the Rock Shox Features are

Cheers Rusty and Scott. Without the want of sounding totally useless, what does the T stand for in RLT? There are RL's and RLT's. Is it worth spending the extra 50 dollar for the RLT? My guess would be not.
