Last minute decision by me to enter, off out the door now, can't see entry fee on their website, just +£5 for on the day entries, anyone know the base price?
No, but conditions will be just about perfect, you doing the full distance? An insentive to go fast is that the free cake at the end runs out quickly!

I did the 4 laps, a tough course, no respite. Lap 3 was the hardest for me. Conditions were indeed very good. Timing guys produced instant time, with splits and a little print out which was nice. Laps 3 & 4 were very lonely, no other riders around, I thought it was just me out there!

I understand that they were a number of entries down compared to previous years which may have explained why it was quiet on the last laps, that and because most entries they did have were for were for the two laps.
Conditions were excellent, indeed the course and the setting couldn't have been better from what I heared. It is such a shame that they don't seem to advertise it more as it is a cracking event if the weather is as good as it was today. I have entered on rainy days and that is not such a great experience TBH.
I have done it for the last 3 years, but decided not to this year. Despite actually heading up to the forest anyway! I had a great day and the trails were running perfectly! Can't say why I didn't enter this year really, always enjoyed it. Just the thought of the mass start and first 20 minutes stop starting couple with the xc race boys barging through on the second lap just made me think what's the point. Will give it ago again at some point as it's such a well run event.
I was told that they took into account the bottleneck at the top of the short first fireroad section, went further up and then left and apparently it flowed much better
