Oh yeah! I knocked 10 mins off my PB using them and I've had to swap my mobile phone as so many chicks were calling me after I put on my 180/203 gunsmoke beauties.

I didnt notice increased female attention etc but they are lighter in the larger sizes (not so noticable for 160 etc)

Performed flawlessly in france for me,(hope) i have hit them a couple of times and found that they are more resistant to bending too.

Worth doing if everything else is top-notch on the bike and to save a bit of weight etc or if your buying hopes and have them as an option.

Hopefully less susceptible to warping.

They look cool and make pinging noises when cooling.

Pimptastic.....

....and they reduce the amount of heat transferred from the disk to the hub bearings/shell.

They're moderately lighter, 160mm is 78g, which is about 40g lighter than most. Avid G3s are as light.

They're no more powerful, other than you can run a larger floating rotor for the same weight as a smaller steel one.

The only advantage is they are less susceptible to warping if overheated - the braking track can expand away from the spider so it shouldn't warp.

No other advantage

If you're going for 160 or 140s then get the Hope Pro floating rotors, they only come in gunsmoke, but they are substantially lighter than a steel rotor, the normal Hope ones less so.

I've not noticed any of the other advantages frankly, they're rotors...

I've noticed on my XTR floating rotor I never get any problems with the disc rubbing. The XT normal rotor can rub a bit in a random ways, generally after long fast downhills.

I may try one of these on it, £30 from CRC, cheaper than Hope anyway!

I just like the ticking noise as they cool down.

pinging noise after heavy use is the USP 😉

Much like after you've given the car a good caning, then park up to hear the exhaust pinging / clicking whilst cooling down! "no dear i wasn't trying to thrash the car on the way home whilst listening to Slayer, noooooo".
