I just crashed my bike into a tree, and one of the saddle rails has popped out. If I could get it back in the saddle would be perfectly usable, but can't shift the damn thing. I've tried levering it in with a spade but it will not budge. Any ideas?

Try putting the whole saddle into very hot / almost boiling water. Might soften the top enough to pop it back again.

The top is really bendy, I've unscrewed all the plates, it's the rail itself, it has practically no give in it at all, feels like I'd need to bend permanently to get it back in.

Might try cooking it if I get really frustrated. What wine goes with SDG saddles?

Might try that. Will I have to crash whilst going backwards to make sure the opposite forces are applied to the saddle though?

I've levered rails back in before by jamming a big spanner between the two and bending it till it pops in - hard to explain. They'll bend a fair bit but still spring back ok - it's how it probably popped out!

Also if it's borken anyhow, you've not a lot to loose trying to fix it!

A seatpost is the lever of choice.
