''Fixing'' bleed port on lever - 7.9mm hole to fit 8mm tube?

Going to attempt a fix on a stripped bled port rather than replace lever with a insert made out of m8 aluminium tube.

Will need to drill out the plastic lever a bit to allow the 8mm tube - will a 7.9mm drill bit be suitable or will it still be too tight? Bearing in mind I'll be using a hand help drill so probably will be a bit of wiggle!

Will be epoxying it too.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Sounds reasonable to me, an interference fit is generally for something you want to stay fixed and not move about. 0.1mm might be a bit tight for such a small diameter but as it's going into plastic you'll have a little give. Obviously don't force it in if a firm press doesn't work. Nothing to loose really as you have a fall back position of drilling it out to 8mm or even just replacing the lever.ย
