Following on from all your kind offers of a bike ride. I've got off my arse, dusted the bike off and I'm going out.
Philips Park to Nob end (s****). No expanding my social circle on this one ๐
I'll see how I get on and then start making contact with guys.
Onwards!
Well done for getting out mate. ๐
Nice, I've got lurgy so sitting looking at the sunshine. Although lots of boxes arriving on monday so its not too bad.
Woop, woop! ๐
Ride like the wind, you cycling legend.
Guessing it won't be your "social circle" thats being expanded once you reach nob end.....
Did it. Social circle is killing me.
Need a bit more energy in my legs. But it felt good.
Every time I feel like crap, the bike ride makes it better.
All those going through similar levels of crap as me.
Get on your bikes!
Its the first ride that is the hardest step. Keep riding and it will help get everything else back into perspective. But it's not a quick fix.
And keep posting the photos, loving them.
Thanks MCTD

Such good advice, did my first proper ride of the year on Easter Sunday, it was hard work (gusty wind didn't help).
Got called out last night @ 2am back home for 9am had a bit of a sleep till 1pm and thought sod it lets get out on the bike and 2 hours later I arrived back covered in mud but happy as Larry (legs are like jelly though)
MrOvershoot - got to love the jelly legs ๐
After 2 months off the bike, I dislocated my collar bone enjoying Barcelona too much, I'm back. I've done a few rides to get my fitness back up and Sunday was the first ride to see if my shoulder could cope.
The plan was to go from Heywood over to Landgate and Moss Quarries in Whitworth and check out the Cycle cross events. A 30mile round trip with 3000ft of climbing. Going through Ashworth Valley/Carr Woods on to Greenbooth Reservoir and up Rooley Moor Rd to Lee Quarry.
Aye.
