[Closed] extreme darkside - adapter to fit pump to silly aero wheels

Could be wrong here but don't aero wheels need specific tubes with longer valves to get through the depth of the rim?

Or am I thinking of something else?

I think charlie's talking about a disc wheel, where there's a small cutout in the disc to let you fit a pump (or not, as the case may be).

You might need to google round for someone who has it in stock or maybe resort to ebay. I can't offer an opinion on how good it is, I'm using a 404/808 combo so don't have disc worries 🙂

thanks - not actually a full disc wheel but HED tri spokes, so same idea

crack pipe adaptors are ime a pita, never got a good seal with them, the Hirame is a very good bit of kit but expensive. Having got one i lopped the normal adapter of my rennkompressor and just fitted the hirame, so no faffing around. you can get copies which are cheaper and probably just as good

Just get a valve extender. Most good road shops will sell them.

That would just extend the valve past the cut-out... It's not a plain deep section wheel he's on about, he needs a 90 degree adaptor as others have suggested
