Exposure smart port DIY Cree light for helmet mount, stand alone head torch.
I know Exposure do a cree head torch for about £120. Would it work to make a Cree DIY one with a smart port adaptor end into the light smart port? Anyone done this on the cheap with an eBay Cree LED? Any pictures? What is the smart port specification plug type?

Hi.
The plug is 4mm on the OD, 1.7mm on the ID.
Around 9.5mm long.
I understand that enabling the Smart Port on your Exposure "just" gives a connection directly to the internal battery.
The easy way to get a plug is to buy the Exposure USB charger cable.
