Mine just arrived today, and its super bright, couldnt resist shining it in my face and couldnt see for a while after.

Just wondering though, it doesnt say MAXX2 on it anywhere, but it definitely has the Smart port technology and the box says its a 2010 model. I just thought that the version I saw on the website had maxx2 written on the side?

Can anyone confirm?

I got mine from CRC about three weeks ago. It says Joystick Maxx2 on the side of the unit. It comes in a black case with a red zip. The literature inside is clearly marked Maxx2.

mines direct from USE 2 days before relentless 2009

doesnt have any referance to MAXX 2 on the case or the light

it does say joystick 2010 on the case though

mines cant be far off the most up to date as i had to wait on them getting batterys for them before dispatch .....

i've got a 2010 one and it does say Maxx2, plus a load of other stuff

i think they should ease off the cheesy catchphases and graphics - not necessary as the product speaks for itself. it's truly a great light

so have I got the right light then? CRC ensured me that it was the Maxx 2, whats the difference?

best guess is they already had a batch of bodys made up etched with joystick and used them with new internals perhaps ?

it defo says SPT on it, so it must be a maxx2? evans are advertising it as a maxx 2 and showing a pic of one without maxx2 written on the side, looks just like mine.

But worried how bright it is actually, hope I dont dazzle anyone on my way home tomorrow, and to think I nearly got a MAXX D, jesus, that must be bright!?!?!

The Maxx2 body is a little bit longer than the original Maxx (maybe 5mm), presumably to accomodate the SPT gubbins.

the 2010 ones are the same but they have got rid of the maxx2 markings.
Have a look here -

http://www.exposurelights.com/newsite/product/000020/joystick/

The newer ones look like they have a red seal round the lens too rather than a black one.

I got the new Maxx2 Diablo a couple of weeks ago, that's over twice as bright as a Joystick! Very impressed with it so far.

great thanks, mine has the red seal, and says SPT on the body so think I am OK.

Very impressed with it so far, but 1st real test on my commute home, which looks like it gonna be a wet one ๐Ÿ™
