I currently run a maxx-d on the bars and an axis on my bonce, but the axis often runs out on a night ride.
Sticking with exposure I see my options as
1. Buy a second head light, possibly a diablo.
2. Buy an exposure support cell
3. Get the axis serviced.
I'm leaning towards 1 or 2. 1 is the easiest but most expensive but I could run it as a lightweight bar light as well for the shoulder months.
I have a Zenith mk1 and Maxx-D. I run one of the support cells with the Zenith for longer night rides.
I spent ages faffing about getting a hope district battery pack to connect to my exposure diablo.
I'd buy an exposure support cell unless you want a different light.
A second hand light is probably similar money ( now in summer) to the support cell, but then you have to faff about swapping them mid ride. The support cell is just there all the time.
2b. Get smudge from my batteries to set you up with a support cell. ( Just be sure to get a long enough cable on it. I stupidly went for 40cm on my quad cell with the intention of mainly using it on the bars and it's too short to easily put in the rucksack)

Already mentioned but I got Smudge to make me a triple cell support cell so my diablo would match the runtime of my six-pack. I was also then able to use the diablo as my main road light.
A mate of mine bought the Exposure support, fits neatly onto the helmet and works in tandem with the main battery. Not sure how that compares to Smudge's version.

Definitely adds extra run time, but he had his Axis serviced at the same time and I think Exposure replaced the battery as well.
I've got one of those single Exposure supports, but rarely use it. ( I think) It only doubles the light duration for an Axis, which takes it from useless to not great. The 4 cell I have is much better in that regard.
I had a Maxx D and Diablo, the Diablo is on a go pro mount on the helmet, I picked up the Exposure support cell and a 3rd printed bracket which the Diablo and Cell can sit in, works really well and less faff then strapping the cell somewhere.

Doubling the time would be fine for me I think although a nice blingy spare light would also be nice so still undecided between a cell or extra light
