Hi, has anyone imported a frame back to country of origin for repair and used this OPR(Outward processing relief) to avoid getting stung for import/export duty ?
Can I just go down the Post office and do it ?

used to use OPR for shipping stuff back and forwards to USA for further work and think you need to hold an account with HMRC to do it though i guess if you are using post office to ship they could do using their account but i seriously doubt that anyone will know what you mean - DHL or similar might but may charge an arm and leg

I'd maybe risk opting for a shipping invoice showing goods as nil value "return for repair under warranty no commercial value" and attach copy of correspondence - ask whoever is returning it to do same making sure they enclose a couple of copies with goods and advise freight forwarder accordingly

edit whoops - maybe should delete post - insurance will be an issue
