After 3 punctures on yesterdays 100k Trail Break I have finally had enough of tubes. I do have some Ust rims (crossmax sx) so I'm on the prowl for some not too heavy, quickish xc ust tyres. I'm thinking maybe Igintor lust front, crossmark rear, or maybe Advantages, although the latter, non lust, have been paper thin and unreliable for me in the past.
Any suggestions? Oh, and...sorry!
I've found GEAX Saguaro TNT to be both fast and robust; have mounted easily on both XM819 UST rims and Stans Flow.
I quite like the look of those half slick High rollers, might put one on the back and keep a regular one on the front
I'll have a pair of Schwalbe Racing Ralfs 2.1 UST for sale at the end of the week, little use, £50 posted.
Cheers dickie, RRs are a bit fragile for me really.
I like larsen TTs as a rear tyre, with a high roller or a minion on the front.
Dickie I maybe interested in your tyres when they become avaialbe
I also did the 100k, had no punctures on Michelin XC Drys UST but they suffered with lack of grip. They are good fast rolling in the dry but not good in the conditions over the weekend.
New Bontrager range of TLR tyres is very good.
Ive got a Bontrager XR4 2.2 TLR and a XDX 2.1 TLR both in good very good condition . very good combo as the xr4's grip really well and the XDX are super fast £28 posted
