I went into Stonehenge Cycles new road bike shop yesterday. Whilst nosing around I saw a bike with the new Dura Ace electronic shifting. It seemed very clever as it adjusted the front mech to allow for the chain line. This bike was getting on for 8 grand though! You could buy a car for that etc... how long before XTR goes the same way?

Groupset alone is £3k, I'd have one though if I could afford it, it works so well. a mate of mine has got one and it's very clever.

I reckon give it a year or two and XTR will have a dabble.

The Di2 is nice kit but a tad pricey, and it's already been fitted to MTB HERE so no need to wait for the XTR 😉

I'd be interested in electronic shifting for a Rohloff if anyone made it.
I've thought about trying to bodge something up myself using radio control car servos.
