I'm a big fan of Eggbeaters but even I am getting fed up with the constant servicing and occasional failure. Are the Two's any more reliable?

I run with the 2Ti Eggbeaters with a TiSpindle upgrade (making 3Ti). Love them, no probs at all.

My Eggbeater 1's lasted 5 months, and there are no service kits yet ๐Ÿ™

The bars that form the clipping mechanism on Eggbeaters (well, Mallets and Candys) always seem to wear out on me - they develop loads of side to side play and eventually stop holding the cleats in. My current pair have lasted less than a year.

(sorry for the hijack)

To be fair Al, that't coz you're a bit of a lightweight. Not like you're putting them under any strain....

bought the new eggbeater 2s as they have needle roller bearings, thought they might last longer than my candys, lasted 5 rides and then they developed play in the bearings, sent them back for a refund,
