[Closed] DYFI results

Don't hold your breath!

Usually several months after the event.
(It's not a race y'see... ;o))

They sent out the email on the 19th July last year.

I was at the end of the forest bit for an hour waiting for friends and from what I could see they seemed to have one person looking at the positions on computer and another double checking them manually. (I guess to check noboby got left behind.)

If it is all on computer already I would expect them to come out quicker than usual but we will have to see.

(There must have been some kind of chip in the number?

Great event wasn't it! We'll be back next year 🙂

Some time latter this week i belive. Although if you look at the rightplacerighttime photos you can count the number of riders in before you if it bothers you that much.

haha, ya think they'd come let the STW lot know first?!? or you just anticipating a great result!

you can work out your position to about 10 places by counting where you are in the finishing photo on rightplacerighttime. I was the 106th photo and there were 520 photo's in total up so i guess i was round about 106-120th as there are about 100 riders not accounted for in the photo's

Dunno about that - I heard on Sunday there were nearer 800 riding. And I saw plate numbers up to 740-odd.

I was curious so I asked when I crossed the line. I was 104th (or 106th) and was number 509, I don't know if this helps calibrate your photo order theory?

Bugger I thought I'd won it until I saw above that some dude called Nick something came in 1st..... 😉

My photo counting theory is probs very wrong then haha it gives you an idea to the nearest 50 we'll say then lol

I asked where I was when I saw a marshall with a big sheet of paper at a point I thought they might be diverting people. n.b. I actually asked "how's tha doing?" with a smile and wave but instead they told me how [i]I[/i] was doing 🙂 o well

Results out via email this afternoon.

Luckily I post under a pseudonym so no one will see where I finished.

Did we set off at 11:00 according to the event clock?

64th overall in 3h37m, pretty pleased although tad slower than last year... but then so was Nick Craig! 😉

Damn JD, I was also slower, but 15mins behind you vs 12 mins from last year :-(....we're both catching Aidan tho 😉

561st, not dead last so target number 1 achieved. "Bit" longer than hoped for though, still, something to aim for for next year 🙂
