The head lamp on my dx has lasted two winters unlike the batteries.
Are UK spec/guaranteed batteries available as an upgrade, with the same connectors etc?

www.mtbbatteries.com - smudge from here does them, or he used to do them anyway.

Could have been worse, my DX battery lasted exactly one day! Swapped the connector over so I could use my Lupine batteries...

I'm not a massive fan of night riding if I'm honest..

But today's ride was due to possibly overrun if things were going well, so I packed the magicshine (and fortunately some emergency cnog lights too)

After a belting afternoon, where I put far too many miles in my legs, I stopped to get set up for the last ten miles home as the light was fading.. after such a good ride I was almost looking forward to careering terrified through the woods in the dark for once..

My so far trustworthy magicshine (3 rides old) flickered once and died..

Cue a hasty ten mile ride home on misty moorland roads, with all the light of a glow worm to guide me and a cramping of the sphincter every time a car approached
