I need to get a Shimano HG Ratchet freehub for my 148/12mm boost DT Swiss 350 hub (currently have XD version). I think the aluminium version is HWYABX00S3745S - but there is also a Hybrid steel version which might be better if it fits as its for a Pinion gearbox bike - all the load will go through the same area of the freehub.
I cant tell if the Hybrid and Aluminium freehubs are interchangeable - any idea if they are or where I can find out? The DT Swiss webpage is a bit crap for this.

Yes the end caps are interchangeable... Or at least I have managed to interchange them myself on a 350 Hybrid hub, going between a steel hybrid freehub body and a conventional aluminium one...
Yes the steel one will work no problem. Just get the right pawl/ratchet mechanism
All the Pinion sprockets I’ve seen have a wide bit that transfers power to the free hub so you don’t need a steel one.
For a 350, unles you have one of the new spangly DEG versions you will need a standard Ratchet freehub.
