Just bought a rear 240 hub from CRC. Came with the black/grey sticker as per this pic...

Most others around seem to have the red sticker...

Have I just spent lots of money on last year's model?

Neither of those are current actually, the graphics change fairly fluidly, there's no 'model years' per se. The grey is an odd one though, struggling to think when I've seen them. They used to just be branded "Hugi" with laser etched graphics, then went to the red sticker. Perhaps it's a 'custom' version or sommat.

This is the current one:

Grey used to be just an alternate colour to the red you showed. The new (current) one is what njee just posted.

Ok thanks guys. CRC showed a red one on their website, and sent the older one. Cheeky monkeys. Any idea if there's any mechanical difference between them?

It's not the red specifically that's new, just the font that's changed.

I just posted that pic to show the sticker on the one I got. It was actually this one I ordered. Anyway, I've decided it's going back as it's not only the wrong colour but I've had a change of heart & will go with a 6-bolt one anyway, though that does increase the price a bit. Begs the question, DT 240 or Chris King. Hmmm, another thread methinks.

A rim brake one? No real surprise you got old stock!

DT240 over King absolutely every time! They're far lighter, less drag, lower maintenance and cheaper. The only good thing about Kings is the finish.
