Do I really need the DT Swiss ring nut removal tool to change the axle on my 240s hub?
Seems an expensive (£60) way of changing an axle, especially when I probably only want to do it once.
Anyone know where I can get one cheap?

Sold someone on here my olde DT240S wheelset, he wanted to swap the axles over. In the end apparently it was relatively easily done with a couple of sockets of the correct size, though having not seen it done first hand I can't say exactly what he did. But suffice to say he didn't buy the DT tool for it.
Managed to change the axle in a similar way on a DT440FR hub a few years ago (I'm 99% sure they're the same inside) so it can be done, just be careful not to hit anything too hard of course.
