Anyone getting involved?

The last one went on for about 4 hours so I might just pop out and catch the last bit again. Eccy Road and Hunters Bar was a hell of a sight.

I had to go on Youtube to see what this is all about. Do they get a license to do it or is it all a bit guerrilla? 🤣

Big D&B place is the old Steel City. Used to go to the Tuesday Club at Sheffield Uni student's union many moons ago. DJ Hype at Bed (before it closed down) was also a goodun.

I'll be there with fam, was expecting about 50 crusties to turn up last time, how wrong I was. Nothing like watching your 8yo stood up on the pedals jiggling around to the music while riding round Park square roundabout in perfect safety to realise what an alternative future for transport could look like.

Last year I walked up Eccy Road to the park with an 18 month old on my shoulders. I was hoping to do it on the bike with him on the Shotgun but I'm home alone this weekend.

Planning on getting down there for it. Didn’t make it last time and it looked like a lot of fun. Forecast is looking good too.

Went to one in brum, the sur-ron invasion and ensuing police chase was the most interesting part. Lots of riders seemed to think the point of it was to have stand up rows with car drivers they were blocking. Not my idea of fun and definitely not how to promote harmony between road users.

Reyt good, that.

Hundreds if not thousands out enjoying the tunes, bikes and weather.

Lots of good natured car drivers getting involved, hyping up the crowd, dancing, smiling.

Glad I was riding and not trying to get anywhere though!  The solid wall to wall riders from Division Street across West Street all the way to Broad Lane was a sight to behold!

First one I've made it to after watching Dom on YT from when he first started with only a handful of followers. Good vibes all round with peeps on bikes, skateboards, scooters, their feet whatever young and old.

Charnock pump track and dirt jumps to finish off, lush!

I heard someone say it was half an hour from front to back. Crazy number of people there.

Everyone generally good natured but had to step in when one driver pulled out on Eccy road insisting it was fine as he was only going round the corner, some cyclist then started screaming there's children and getting all agro, driver should have waited but was total over reaction from the cyclist.

Apart from all the overexcited scallies doing silly things I didn't see any drama at all really. Everyone was really chilled out even right in the thick of it. Personal highlight was riding past the carwash near Shoreham street and the blokes spraying the hoses over the fence.

It's really hard to get in behind Dom because there's so many camera hogs tripping over each other trying to get on the video!

Hell of a day for it too, true last gasps of Summer.

Couldn't make his last London one, hoping to go next time with the cargo bike.

Those guys at the car was were loving it, the bus driver just after them seemed embarrassed with the tiny parp of his horn and as silly as the scallies were, I'm jealous of their wheelie skills.

We stopped to refuel kids and ended up behind buses off the back so short cut across the top of Komune & ended up in front of Dom but somehow about a quarter of the way from the front. Kinda odd having the "leader" behind you for a bit.

All in all a great afternoon, even with the car / cyclist on Eccy road it was far more chilled than my usual commute which is a fraction of the length I rode yesterday.

Oh and coolest bike there, which must be someone off here, was a purple Stooge with matching IPA cans attached to the fork, saw them riding up towards Hillsborough after.
