ie. minimum distance from top of the seat clamp to saddle rails needed to fit them?

Gravity Dropper
Specialized Command
Rockshox (I guess not out yet).

Aren't the new 5" drop posts going to struggle to fit into lots of frames?

My new i950's just been delivered and I'm surprised how short it is actually. Should all fit in the interrupted seat tube of my Trance X no problem.
