Received my new x4 stem this morning, noticed 4 marks on each corner of the stem, i sent back my last race face stem under warranty (was two days old) which was replaced because of similar marks. I'm assuming they are manufacturing marks but just wondered if anyone else's looked like this?

ok guy's, i have sent thomson an e-mail about this so hopefully they will get back to me as i don't really want to ride until i know for sure...

maybe just marks from being clamped for machining?
looks like where the holder for the anodising bath held it.

Thanks guy's, just got an e-mail back from thomson. It's the springs on the anodizing rack which leaves those marks so nothing to worry about! 🙂
