Just got my stealth Reverb set up and, going through the box of bits, trying to work out why anyone would bolt something onto a stanchion risking scratches etc.
Does anyone actually use the enduro collar? Mine will be staying in box...
Not me.
Can't see the point.
I thought they were intended to be kept in your pack and used if the post failed and dropped so you can fix it at pedaling height to get home? Could be wrong though. Can't see the point for limiting travel.
Yes.
If the post fails, it will sink down. Have it on board in case this happens.
On long rides like SDW, I fit it for a 1.5" ish drop, then I don't have to think about it's operation, it's either up or down.
I've ripped a hose off before causing the reverb to drop full travel mid ride. Used the enduro collar to get home without exploding thighs. Not really an issue with the stealth unless you rip it off at the actuator.
*bit slow, see above*
That's really not what it's for though... I definitely wouldn't want it to be load bearing, on a sliding surface not designed to be used that way, personally, at least not without getting Rockshox' approval first.
But then I wouldn't use it for its stated purpose either, it's for people who're obsessed with saddle position when dropped- folks who use the saddle as a reference/pressure point rather than just wanting it gone.
I don't use Reverb full-time but for me it's useful for limiting the travel. Pedaling for any amount of time from fully lowered position seems to make my already dodgy knees hurt real bad.
Never used it. Don't really see the point.
It's like Reverb bleed kits and that strange red tool YT supply with their bikes and sits I a box marked random crap.
