Got a frame second hand with a dodgy bottle cage boss. How do I sort it out/ It just spins in the frame and wont come out, its loose enough but wont screw out? How do I get it out and sort the little bugger out? I went on a long ride and really needed two bottle cages on the bike so its a bit of a ball ache to be honest! No point getting it sorted at a frame place etc as it would cost more than the frame.

The rivnut is spinning in the frame? Surely a drop or two of superglue will sort that.

You can tighten the rivnut up. put a nut onto a bolt, screw the bolt into the rivnut, hold the bolt still then tighten the net down against the rivnut - it will tighten against the frame. special tools are available to do the job as well

yep bolt stuck in there! So I need to get that out first but it just keeps spinning, so its a bit hard to get superglue in there

Which tube? Seattube you have access to the back which helps. Dependent on frame you might also have access to the inside of the downtube.

It the seat tube ones? How do I have access to them there at the bottom of the frame! Surely that would not mean I could do anything with it all the way down a 21inch frame

Its pretty simple a piece of wood dowel dropped down the seat tube to rest against the rivnut in question, then put pressure on it and remove the bolt, sods law says it will be the bottom nut of the two, so getting to it will be a little more difficult, but still not impossble.
