Caught my reflection in a shop last night, and looking back at me was a cross between one of those kids at school who had the special head gear to stop them banging their heads, and Toad from super mario.

Is it possible to look good in a helmet?

I look ****ing awesome all the time! Helmet or not...
Plus I am also very modest...

But really, WGAF? Vanity and riding bicycles don't really go that well together IME...

No, nor in lycra. But I subject others to the sight on a regular basis.

Nope... Those POC helmets aren't flattering for those with a big dome.

Cheers, Steve

I look like a total **** with a helmet on.

Thanks though to my Mum's immortal line of "do you want to be laid on the road smelling your own brains?", I wear one.

Everywhere.

Not really, although some look better on than others, glad I wear one though, after a nasty branch/head interface yesterday.

I think you need a small head and a wide face to stand any chance. Unfortunately I seem to have fairly oval shaped head, so I always need an L or XL helmet for the length, which leaves me looking very mushroomy from in front.

I don't require any other views on the matter, but my general sense that I look pretty good survives putting a helmet on, yes.

🙂

Nope I've got a small head and fat cheeks and I still look like an ass.

Of course I do look good in a helmet.

Best wishes,

You have just reminded me of one of those expat oddities from my past.

He was American, lived in the same small town as us, worked at the local uni, he was about 6'7" and skinny as a skinny thing.

He also wore a full face motorbike helmet everywhere, on his motor bike, on motorbike taxis, while walking down the street, around the uni ground, he took it off to eat, and teach. I assume he didn't sleep in it.

Great big white thing with his blood group written on the outside of it, and emergency contact numbers.

He was only in town about 6 months before he ran/moved on.

It breaks up the monotony of my face.

I look like 13 stone of badly wrapped mince anyway, it's a distraction technique.
